Marvel: Contest of Champions 2018-2024
Marvel: Contest of Champions is a Marvel mobile fighting game with deep RPG mechanics and an even deeper roster of almost 300 playable Marvel characters.

Over the course of six exciting years, I rose up from the starting role of Quest Designer to ultimately take the position of Lead Quest Designer working on the critically acclaimed Marvel: Contest of Champions. I collaborated on a vast swath of design work ranging from monthly quest and encounter content, to Champion designs, to marketing materials. It was an exhilarating time, and the energetic pace of monthly releases taught me many important lessons on when to embrace constraints and when to defy them.

Marvel: Contest of Champions remains one of the high points of my career, and I couldn’t be prouder of all the brilliant folks still pouring their hearts, minds, and souls into The Contest.

The Gallery - EP2: Heart of the Emberstone 2016 - 2018
The Gallery - Episode 2: Heart of the Emberstone is a first person VR puzzle adventure game, and the sequel to the moody 80s inspired hit The Gallery - Episode 1: Call of the Starseed.

Heart of the Emberstone was an incredible project that not only afforded me the opportunity to try my hand at a variety of design roles and challenges, but also gave me a rare chance to dip my toes into VR game development. Working with a smaller team on a project as big and ambitious as Heart of the Emberstone meant stepping up and taking ownership of as much as possible. I threw myself into the intense work of solidifying direction with gameplay roadmaps, collaborating with engineers on prototypes and tools, and even helping out the art team with concept art, cinematics, and asset development.
The Gallery - Episode 2 was one of the most intense, but satisfying projects I’ve ever had the privilege to work on. I’ll always look back fondly on the wit and wisdom Cloudhead’s VR pioneers imparted to me during my time there.
